Wednesday night grooves

At 9 p.m., Busboys and Poets has live music for the low price of $10 in the Langston Room of their 14th and V location. This week, the cafe’s Hump Day Groovez will be featuring live music from Ashes (described on the website as “Acoustic/Progressive Folk music with a funky, energetic twist”).

“Centered on the backbone of acoustic guitar, the sound builds from there with the addition of percussion, piano, cello, banjo, mandolin, and bass. The strong instrumental basis is met by a powerful lyrical collection that seeks to personally involve the feelings of the listeners.”
