A little bit of ambient music for your lunchtime entertainment.
How about some electronica in the middle of hump day? Tomorrow at noon the Woodrow Wilson Plaza at the Ronald Reagan Building will be hosting a free concert with yoko k./aphrodizia. This is the last show in the LIVE! weeklong summer conert series so catch it while you can. And the weather promises to be in the low 80s, mostly sunny.
As part of the ongoing Art Unplugged series, yoko k. will also be performing at the Playbill Cafe on Thursday night with local spoken word artists, Holly Bass. The show will include ”African poetry, singing and Japanese organic electronica.” If organic electronica sounds like something they might sell at the Whole Foods, don’t worry about it. There will be no overpriced grocery items as tickets for this event will be totally free. Just get there at 6 p.m. sharp (or earlier) to be sure to get in.
